The development process involves four phases: Definition, Design, Construction, and Implementation.

Definition Phase

During the definition phase, a series of discussions and documents will be used to define your requirements and outline the proposed project.

Definition Phase Deliverables:

1. Requirements - Key requirements that define the site design and contents will be documented.
2. Statement of Work - The statement of work will give an overview of the work to be completed, and define the content that you will need to provide to complete the website contruction.
3. Estimate - To find out more about how the estimate will be developed, see pricing.

Definition Phase Cost:
Free. The requirements definition phase and cost estimate are provided at no charge.
Design Phase

The design phase involves creating the site look and feel, layout and information structure.

Design Phase Deliverables:

1. Site Template - The template defines how each page will be laid out including titles, headers, and navigation menus.
2. Site Map - The site map lays out how the website will be organized. This involves defining each page in the site, the content of each page, and the navigation/flow of the site.
3. Content - The page content (text and pictures) will be developed based on the site map.

Design Phase Cost:

50% of the fee will be paid at the beginning of the design phase. See pricing to find out more about the estimates.
Construction Phase

The key activities during the construction phase are the building and testing of the site.

Construction Phase Deliverables:

1. Functionality testing - The site will be tested to make sure all functionality described in the design is working.
2. Usability testing - Users will review the site. Changes based on feedback will be discussed with the client and built into the site as appropriate.
3. Final version of the site - You will review and give approval of the final version of the site.


Construction Phase Cost:

No additional costs are due during the construction phase.

Implementation Phase

During the implementation phase, the site hosting and maintenance will be established.

Implementation Phase Deliverables:

1. Hosting - Hosting will be set up with the most appropriate and cost-effective hosting option.
2. Search engine submission - The site will be submitted to the major search engines.
3. Maintenance - A maintenance plan will be established. Find out more about your maintenance options


Implementation Phase Cost:

The remaining 50% (plus any change order costs - see pricing) will be due after the implementation phase is complete.
